VEOP Celebration 2022
With the annual VEOP conference this past October cancelled, VEOP will instead hold a Day of Celebration which will include VEOP awards, presentations by COE, information from our congressional representatives or their aides and updates from both the VEOP and NEOA presidents.
VEOP 2021 Annual Conference

NEOA Conference
The 2020 New England Educational Opportunity Association (NEOA) annual conference will be held April 1-3, 2020 at the Heritage Hotel, Golf, Spa, & Conference Center in Southbury, Connecticut. College access program professionals from across New England come to the conference to share ideas, to attend workshops, to network and to celebrate the work they do.
VEOP Trio Day
Participants and staff from VEOP member college access programs spend a day at the Vermont State House to get a tour, visit the House chamber to be recognized, to learn more about Trio and GEAR UP programs and to possibly meet their representatives.
COE Policy Seminar 2020
Staff and former participants of VEOP member programs will head to Washington DC for Policy Seminar in March to meet with the Vermont congressional delegation and to learn about what is happening on the national level. Participants will represent the interests of low‐income and first‐generation students and veterans, adult learners, and students with disabilities in the policy arena. College access programs from across the United States and its territories attend this event, sponsored by the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE).
NEOA Trio Day
The New England Educational Opportunity Association (NEOA) will host its annual TRIO Day February 20-21, 2020 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. Students from New England pre-college access programs meet for two days to learn about getting to college and being successful, and to visit regional colleges.

Join VEOP members and others from college access programs in Vermont, New Hampshire and northern New York for our annual conference. The agenda includes federal and state updates, workshops, and networking with college access professionals.

VEOP 5K Fundraiser
On October 12th, 2019, we will host the VT Educational Opportunity 5K, starting at the UVM Interfaith Center (400 S. Prospect Street, Burlington) at 10:00 am. Registration starts at 8:45 am.
All proceeds from the Educational Opportunity 5K will go directly towards offering scholarships to students participating in our programs.
Please help support access to college for these students by running/walking, volunteering, or sponsoring a runner.
2019 NEOA Conference
The New England Educational Opportunity Association, or NEOA, is an organization of professionals who are actively interested in insuring equal educational opportunities in higher education. Founded in 1976, NEOA has membership of more than 300 educators working with almost 50,000 participants throughout the six New England states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont, as well as northern New York.
The 2019 NEOA annual conference will be held April 3-5, 2019 in Rhode Island at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island. The theme is “Creating Spaces for Student Success: Intentional Inclusion & Leadership.”
